Hello! And welcome to my little corner of the interwebs. I’m a writer, and sometimes an editor, of speculative fiction as well as an enjoyer of any book with a good story. I live, write, and read on Ngunnawal land with occasional interruptions by kidlets and cats. My stories tend to head to dark places more often than not, and I’m currently working on my debut novel, Unchosen, that very much follows that trend. I also host The Regular podcast, a spinoff in the Words and Nerds podcast family run by the amazing Dani Vee.

Along with writing Unchosen, I regularly participate in the Australian Writers’ Centre’s monthly Furious Fiction competition. It’s a great comp for practicing the craft of writing, with a fantastic community around it. Some of my entries can be found here. If you want an idea of my style, I recommend A Hero’s Journey, shortlisted in May 2020. And if that’s too depressing, here, have a picture of my cats. The photo is a bit dated, but the dynamic remains unchanged.

On this site you’ll find a smattering of things – poetry, blog posts, journals from my Master of Letters studies, and of course podcast eps and stories. There’s also links to books/anthologies I’ve featured in. I hope you get something out of it too though, whether entertainment or advice. My aim is share what works – or doesn’t work – for me, as well as share the journey towards publication. If you want to hear more, subscribe to my irregular newsletter and you’ll be the first to know when new and exciting things happen!
Have a look, hopefully find something interesting, but most importantly, enjoy!
